2.4.Manjushri- Buddha of Wisdom OM A RA PA TSA NA DHI * Grand Master Sheng-yen Lu transmitted Arya Manjushri empowerment on Aug 14,2010, at Taiwan Lei Tsang Temple. There were thousands of people attending beautifully organised Dharma event. Many also followed Manjushri empowerment on Live internet broadcast (3-5 pm Taiwan time, 9-11 CET).Many offerings were made to this important Bodhisattva. There was also auspicious Rain of blessings. After the initiation(homa) Grand Master explained significance of Arya Manjushri – Prince of Dharma who is the Teacher of all Buddhas. He also explained about one of Manjushri´s symbols : Radiant sword of wisdom . All who attended in person went through the canopy with many thangkas of Manjushri, touching their foreheads and received blessings from Grand Master Lu , while Manjushri´s mantra OM A RA PA TSA NA DHI was recited by attending masters and practitioners of True Buddha School. I am reminded of the excellent relation of Grand Master Lu with Arya Manjushri, decribed in one of his Dharma books…
At the Dharma lecture Grand Master Lu continued to teach from the Platform sutra of the 6th patriarch of Chan Buddhism. He taught precisely about true meaning of non-thought and its relation to Samadhi meditation, adding collorful stories for illustration. Pleasant feeling is agreeable when arising , yet disagreeable when ceasing . Painful feeling is disagreeable when arising , yet agreeable when ceasing . Neutral feeling is quite agreeable , when one is aware of its presence , yet quite dull and disagreeable , when one is unaware of its presence . The cause of feeling is contact : eye – contact , ear – contact , nose – contact , tongue – contact , body – contact , or mental – contact .At the moment this contact ceases , the associated feeling also instantly ceases . May peace , happiness and wisdom be upon you always !

Q.221 – These five sense organs are the cause of feeling . How can we cease its if its are our own ?
Five sense organs are not the cause of suffering, as you suggest. Without five sense organs one can not even understand the Dharma. Use your five sense organs wisely and do not indulge in them . Witzh our eyes we can see beautiful Buddha images; with our ears we can hear serene mantra chanting, which is the Speech of the Buddha. With our minds we can remember all noble qualities of the Buddhas and develop these qualities in ouerselves. So there is nothing wrong with senses, if one use them wisely, with wisdom of discernment or prajna.
Q.222 – Is neutral feeling the best way to cease all suffering when one is aware ? True awareness is being aware of one´s thoughts which are supported by perceptions. You tend to think that in Buddhist meditation one must be deaf and dump , not seeing , hearing or thinking anything. This would be “dead-tree Samadhi”. This would be incorrect meditation, like occasional freezing. ..
Q.223 – Does the associated feeling also instantly cease when we are sleeping ? In very deep sleep one does not have daytime feelings . Sleep and dreams are part of the Bardo of sleep and dreams (Milam bardo). See the Visual Dharma: Main verses of six bardos.
Q.224 – In this meaning , why we have dream ? Dreams can be good or bad or just neutral. Most dreams are based on daytime experiences or from karmic imprints. More important dreams appear at the dawn. There are also prophetic dreams and dreams of clarity.

5.2. Vegetarian recipes for health and wellbeing : Wellness breakfast
50 g soy protein (not genetically modified soy!)
3oo g yoghurt, 20 g pollen (2 full tea spoons)
Juice of black berries . Mix the ingredients and take in the morning for breakfast.
Speciality of this veg. recipe is pollen which is most concentrated food for vegetarians. It contains all essential amino acids needed for health. Yoghurt is recommended in warm or hot summer . During colder seasons one takes milk instead of yoghurt. Vegans can use pure water .

I was a someone of the world, a well known Trial Attorney, who died to my old self to became a new creation in Christ. GOD sent me to the streets of LA and I was homeless, living without money, job, credit, parents, family, or friends. All I had was a small van to sleep on streets, a few pots, some clothes, a Coleman Stove, a jug of water, and The Bible. The “night stalker” , Richard Ramirez was loose on the streets. He killed 26. He was a Satanist. The Lord was my Shepherd.
By God’s grace I became a street singer. I sang in back ally’s and bathrooms, on street corners and wherever I was moved. The bag ladies, drunks, dopers and indigent were my friends, and I, least of all. I was blessed to make music and write praise songs that eventually, by God’s grace, were recorded.
