OM SVASTI Dear ALL,
111 is special number in Nyingma Vajrayana Buddhism . No wonder that this Dharma teachings is related to the Dakini days and to cosmic cycles . Happy, healthy and auspicious 2013 . Till February 10 it is still Water Dragon year , then it enters into new lunar year Water Snake year according to Chinese and Tibetan astrology .

I. our planet entered new 5000 cycle according to Mayan calendar . There was big solar outburst on December 31 lasting four hours . Many of you are not aware of this cosmic event .

Mayans did not predict a catastrophe, they only believed : Something will happen to the sun . This time there was no solar radiation alert . Lets continue our prayers and meditations to stabilise our solar system every day,week,month and year .One of the manifestations of Guru Padmasambhava is Guru Nansid Silnon- Controlling universal Energy .
From astrological side we see that two important days occurred before Dec 31: Eight bad omes and eight good omens , according to Tibetan lunar astrology . Dec 31 , 2012 was also anniversary of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche II (1904 – 1987).

Om Svasti dear Dharma Friends . Today (Jan 7,2013) we celebrate Dakini day in 11th lunar month of Water Dragon year. As you know every 25th lunar day is dedicated to the Wisdom Dakini who is one of the Three Roots of Vajrayana Buddhist Refuge : Guru Dewa-Dakini or Lama-Yidam-Khandro.
Guru Padmasambhava has important Dharma advice for all Vajrayana Buddhists , how to practice Vajyana Diamond path toward enlightenment correctly . First let us reflect what Guru Padmasambhava said and Yeshe Tsgogyal wrote down : “Saying that they practice Union they will indulge in ordinary desires.” We must truly understand this Heart instruction of the Lotus-born Guru. It means indulging in ordinary desires is not good for spiritual development on the Vajrayana Diamond Path. Yet many people are interested in so called “tantric Buddhism” because they believe here they can indulge in promiscuity , cheating and dishonesty . To be good Vajrayana practitioner one must have the basis of Hinayana and Mahayana which should make a human being noble one .
If prostitutes are applied to give secret initiation at higher Vajrayana ceremonies , this is obviously the degeneration of which Guru Rinpoche spoke in 8th Century . Such prostitutes are also known in Hinduism (Temple prostitutes). Some independent researchers believe therefore that so called “tantric Buddhism” developed from Hinduism . This is not the case ,
But we can understand why independent researchers think like this . HH the Dalai Lama also think that tantric Buddhism in India was destroyed not only because of Muslim invasion , but also because of degeneration . I also believe this is the case.

GURU PADMASAMBHAVA ✿ღ ✿ DAKINI TEACHINGS

In Vajrayana or Tibetan Buddhism we don´t have many actual good examples of happily married couples , except for Kyabje Chatral Rinpoche and his wife Kamala Rinpoche and few more. But we have many tantric players –both male and female- who only seek tantric affairs and so called “tantric sex”. . Students see such behaviour from their Lamas and Rinpoches and they also copy this . Some Lamas wish to sleep with their female students having new lover every night ! People tend to tolerate such indulgence saying this is “our tradition” Yes such Lamas are leading everyone to the lower realms – rebirth as an animal, hungry ghosts or in the hell realms .
True Vajrayana practitioner has Vajra pride , self-respect, dignity and integrity , has four empowerments and keeps all 14 root tantric commitments . Guru Padmasambhava also taught about the practice of Union which is sexual union between married couples or those in committed relationship . There is tantric vow saying : Don´t be united with unqualified consort. Consort is not kind of concubine or as Chinese would say : Second soup is better as the first soup – meaning : concubine is better than a wife . When Chinese hear this saying, they laugh. They don´t feel embarrassed at all . Most of Europeans feel embarrassed when they hear this. For normal persons consort means a wife . But in tantric circles consort means concubine .
Let us continue pure and true Vajrayana Buddhism and may Guru Padmasambhava and Wisdom Dakini always bless us .

Ayu SriMulyani Kromodidjojo Consort in tantric isn’t abused 4sex! Some people following Ngagpa traditions with wrong understanding,they allowed marry not 4(only) sex. And 2took a consort isn’t same like took a girl/women 2just marry,but the women should having qualifications+understanding in dharma. Consort isn’t 4sex/just as servant,but Consort is a sacred partner 2union in tantric practice,as YabYum it self are couple,means consort is equal with male. And doing sex in tantric isn’t like “eat when hungry”/”hunting when they want 2have pleasureness,it most about unifications of the power+energy (chakra)_ Buddhist either Hindu respect that,but sometimes the practicioner still poisoned by own wrong view. As Padmasambhava said : “If then you can be like ME,then you allow do what I do..”_ so,if then some of “you” already havin consort,please respect+lead her,by respect+compassions that same like you Khandroma,coz everyone whose be “The Mother” daughter,they never separate with HER,they is just another form of HER. Therefore I explained in the Teaching above that in contemporary English language consort means a wife and not kind of concubine . Sylvester is English teacher and can maybe explain the English word consort precisely …. Definitely it does not mean concubine , prostitute , go go dancers in night clubs etc …

Sylvester Sebastian Smith UK A consort is a partner, a companion, someone who supports and helps. In bygone times, a royal partner was sometimes referred to as the King’s (or Queen’s) consort. Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, was known as the Prince Consort. A concubine was a companion, usually to a person of noble birth. Not quite a prostitute, since she was usually kept by one person, sometimes as part of a harem. A concubine was a favoured servant who performed sexual acts with the noble person, and was often granted privileges such as fine clothes, her own apartment within the palace, etc, for faithful service rendered. Sometimes concubines doubled as spies for their masters, performing services for enemies in order to gain information. I hope that I have helped to clear up the differences here.

Ayu SriMulyani Kromodidjojo There is explained in the Lady Of The Lotus Born Sutra, about the Qualifications and Explainations about “How To Following The Lama and How To be a Consort”, as it wrote there by Yeshe Tsogyal Her ownself, that’s should also practiced for whom (mostly women) following the Vajrayana pathway, as there wrote :

In the Vajrayana is characterized by its direct utilization of emotion, as well as the psychophysical energies of the mind and body. The external supports of ritual, visualization, mantra recitation, and yoga are all of great importance. It is convenient to speak of the tantric path6 in terms of four initiations or four levels of empowerment that introduce the disciple to the different as-pects of the fully enlightened state. In the simplest terms, the first of the four initiations empowers the disciple to undertake the yogas of the Generation Stage. These aim at the realization of the true nature of all phenomena and mainly involve the practice of visualization and recitation. The second initiation introduces the disciple to the practices of the Perfection Stage, in which the subtle channels, energies and essences of his or her own body are meditated upon and brought under control. When this has been perfectly accomplished, the disciple is ready to receive the third initiation, which empowers him or her to practice a similar type of yoga but this time taking sup-port of the body of another person, in other words a consort. The most striking aspect of the yoga related with the third initiation, and one that many readers will find intriguing and perhaps troubling, is that it specifically involves the use of sex-ual energy. Given that the Vajrayana works directly with the emotions and utilizes various physical and psychic yogas, it would be surprising if it neglected what is after all a driving impulse in human existence. Even so, for many people, the idea of using the sexual act as a spiritual path may seem strange if not actually contradictory. Perhaps this is due to the fact that in Western religions (present mores notwithstanding) the morally correct environment for sexual activity is considered to be mar-riage, and the spiritual dimension of sex is intimately associated with the begetting of children. At the other end of the spec-trum, it is evident in secular life that sex is often trivialized and debased in exploitative and degrading ways. These two contrasting attitudes are apt to complicate our approach to this aspect of the tantra, and in the task of translation it is hard to find a vocabulary able to express the notions of both physical intercourse and spiritual purity in ways that are not either un-duly diffident or else tainted by prurience and vulgarity. In Tibetan Buddhism, the instructions associated with the third initiation are regarded as extremely high teachings and are the object of profound respect. They are not widely disseminated and, for reasons that will soon become obvious, are well beyond the reach of the majority of practitioners.

Sylvester Sebastian Smith As I am part of a Druid community and have followed the Druid path all my life, I would comment that there are certain rituals which involve the coupling of a man and a woman, albeit they are costumed and acting out the role of the Goddess and the Horned God, it is a fertility rite performed in springtime and/or midsummer. It is a fertility ritual and was traditionally performed in a field or woodland, to symbolise new growth and rebirth. So I can understand that sexual practices can form part of a spiritual ceremony. Such practices (as we have discussed) can be open to abuse, but when performed with the correct mental attitude, as a celebration of life, it is a reaffirming and joyful experience.

Ayu SriMulyani Kromodidjojo TaraTulku Drimed Drolkhar Rinpoche : my dearest Rinpoche, we shall already understand if in practice we can’t compare about Guru Rinpoche’s life include about consort, because He isn’t like lay/ordinary person… He took consort not as same as whatever Kings names there to had so many consort for “collections”… that why in Vajrayana we have “terma” or secret teaching, which is can not just a simple understanding just like translating each single words, and it’s can not just opened/published for publics whose didn’t have depth understanding about the Vajrayana teachings. Im so sorry for this case, I realy didn’t agree to comparing the meaning of Consort in Vajrayana practice with consort meaning of the translation in western concept… as same as it, neither Im agree with so many Lamas that also tried to took some consort just as the western meaning of that… Consort in Vajrayana is more than just a wife/consort… and isn’t to collected as Harem… this all that I knew, my dear… and I U… Tashi delek dear Rinpoche _( )_

I knew little bit about Druid and Shamanism…. the problems both of us is, some people had missunderstood and breaking the exoterics of the vow… like Vajrayana Buddhism with the cases just like dear TaraTulku Drimed Drolkhar Rinpoche saying about, then in Druid, some “black clans” abused this sacral practice to havin sex party etc… so the essential problems is about how to understand what it the practice shall to do in the right pathways without any distructions of the self-conceptualism … I respect any other faith about theit practice, but here, if we talking about Vajrayana and Dakini ‘breathe”, we must make separations of understanding, not means we making border or discriminations.. keep going in right way, dear fren.. _( )_

This is an abuse of position and would not be tolerated in my community. Besides being a Druid, I am eclectic in my beliefs and in my spiritual studies, which has led me to explore Buddhism, with the help of dear Rimpoche Tara, and others. I believe in leading by example, teaching students the correct morals and the meanings behind our rituals. Respect for the beliefs of others is foremost among my people. True wisdom has no borders, either physical or mental.

TaraTulku Drimed Drolkhar Rinpoche : Dzogchen master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche said on recent open webcast (Guru Drakpur empowerment and teachings): For us Buddhists FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS taught by Shakyamuni Buddha are always precious teachings , even if we are Vajrayana or Dzogchen practitioners .” I can remember this because I often write notes from open webcasts . Guru Padmasambhava taught how to UNITE the View of EMPTINESS and CONDUCT : “Descend with the View , ascend with the conduct”. This is the key how to progress on the Vajrayana and Dzogchen path. It is not “crazy wisdom ” at all, but constant practice of Presence and Awareness . HH the Dalai Lama also said many times that we don´t need to accept Buddhist masters who behave with “crazy wisdom” . Tibetan proverb goes : Cat can not jump where the tiger can jump. This means : eevn Buddhist masters must teach the Dharma according to their Capacities . Presently nobody can compare themselves with Guru Padmasambhava or Vimalamitra .

And is the point we discussing here now, genderisation is also not a matter,cz both havin equanimity 2lead,2guide everyone to havin enlightenment. Sylvester Sebastian Smith UK . Many good points made here. Women should have the same opportunities as men, including being spiritual teachers if that is what they wish. Also, in reply to Ayu, I was never suggesting that we should all be perfect examples, indeed, in some circumstances, our flaws can be our strengths, if we learn how to direct them in a positive way. And it is not necessary to be a spiritual teacher or leader in order to practise any kind of faith. To have faith of the heart and mind is all that is required.

Of course Kamala Rinpoche is right, the potential is surely there and His Holiness eaven said during a teaching, he might want to be reborn as a woman – better looks! – in general we’re still far from equality, if we want that then. And Tibetan society, especially the monastic with strong hierarchies still just at the very beginning. Great examples the monastery of Tenzin Palmo or Thoesamling in Sidhbari, H.p. But Vajrayana is much wider as Tibetan society or any other society. I also don´t think in terms of Western women or Eastern women or men. In BUDDHA DHARMA-OBF INTERNATIONAL we serve, uphold and protect the teachings of Buddhas without obscuration of race, nationality , social position … Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo is courageous and I support her . We had some very interesting correspondence some months ago . She also support gender equality in Buddhism .

In general we tend to help “disadvantaged people” cause the problem is s so clear – I lived for some years in Dharamsala and at that time, many western nosn where roaming the place without finding anywhere to go. I remember one German non, people said, she’s crazy, she runs around India without a visa, gets caught and thrown out, as soon as she was able she was back again. She was not crazy, she was poor! I will always carry her in my heart, she was so determined ***

I also met people who really returned from India to Europe in strange mental states and confussion . Even nowdays one can experience “cultural shock” when travelling to Nepal and India . It is such confusion and noise on roads . Therefore I say : we don´t need to look down upon ourselves because we are not Tibetans or born in India , Bhutan or Asia. We are not Buddhists by birth , but found Buddha Path through our own searching . Therefore we appreciate Buddha Path even more than those who are Buddhists by birth. Here in Europe many are Catholics by birth , but we know that many of those Catholics by birth only visit church at Christmas and Easter …. Buddhism is inside Path toward Enlightenment and not (only) external ceremonies .╰დ╮☼╭დ╯OM ╰დ╮☼╭დ╯
