Dear Dharma friends and readers at the HERITAGE OF MANKIND . There was powerful solar eclipse on March 20, visible on Northern hemisphere and we recited Kunzang Monlam Wish –granting prayer of Samantabhadra, as advised by enlightened Masters on such occasions . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCNQGij0kGw May all beings become enlightened in the Dharmadhatu . I. INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR CONTEMPORARY BUDDHIST STUDIES 1.1. Ati yoga Dzogchen legacy of Guru Garab Dorje Homage to Samantabhadra, Homage to Vajrasattva, Homage to Guru Garab Dorje . Many years ago I wrote Ati Yoga lineage prayer based on Natural Sound of Dharmata (Tib. Chonyid kyi rangdra) . Since then it developed into samadhi of Sound as taught by the Dzogchen lineage master Vimalamitra . 1.1.2. Dzogchen legacy of Guru Garab Dorje is in us … It is not property of high priests class who wish to put everyone down just to feel themselves high . Guru Garab Dorje was against such establishments and He taught direct path of enlightenment . One of the panditas from Načlanda university in ancient India became Guru Garab Dorje heart disciple , namely Manjushrimitra (see: Primordial experience). Guru Garab Dorje was both emanation of Buddha Vajrasattva and of Shakyamuni Buddha . We celebrate their anniversary at Chokhor Duchen , 15th day of 1st lunar month or Bumjur Dawa. 1.1.3 The meaning of devotion and faith in Ati Yoga Dzogchen Without devotion and faith we can not know pure Ati Yoga Dzogchen lineage . Without devotion and faith we are just dry intellectuals who like politicians blabber endlessly to nihilist public (as Kyabje Thinley Norbu Rinpoche would point out ). So we must have devotion and faith to awaken spiritual qualities and activities in us . This is not blind faith to idolize the Guru and to make him high priest with power over us, to delegate all our powers to him and then ask him to give them back to us . When the wisdom of self-liberation awakens in us , we don*t give any outside authority or perception any power over us . We become more sensitive to our inner space and freedom . We see how neurotic people torture themselves endlessly in samsara, grasping to constant conceptualizations , not having peace and inner silence even for a minute ! We become completely uninterested in debates with people who only wish to expose their ego over us . Directly seeing these engagements thoughts can subside and self-liberate like snow flakes falling into the lake and dissolve with water .

1.1.4. Returning to primordial wisdom inside Ati Yoga Dzogchen path is inside path of spiritual evolution for every individual , as Chogyal Namkhai Norbu often points out . If we wish to return to primordial wisdom inside us , we must stop talking and conceptualizing and intellectualizing . Even when we utter something or write something itz should come from our self-liberated Buddha nature within. Three statements ,enst of Guru Garab Dorje are very short keys (Small golden keys, as Kyabje Thinley Norbu Rinpoche would say) . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aK8q_pg2YmU From this self-liberated Buddha nature or Primordial state comes true wisdom , true compassion and Bodhicitta : secret Sound, Light , Rays . Without recognition of Bodhicitta (Tib. Chang Chub) one can not be true Dzogchen practitioner . May Bodhicitta increase like the summer river , flowing peacefully and deeply . Holly was devoted Pure land Buddhist practitioner and gifted artist writing Heart sutra caligraphy many times , helping two Buddhist monasteries outside her birth city Shanghai . Many of us prayed for her swift rebirth in Amitabha Buddha pure land of Sukhavati . We also asked H.E. Ayang Rinpoche from Amitabha foundation in India to perform Phowa practice for Holly .
