Dear Readers and friends of BUDDHA DHARMA , welcome to this important topics which was presented at 57th pannel discussion : Office for religious communities at the Ministry for culture, government of Slovenia, European union .

57th pannel discussion was organised by the Office for religious communities on May 10th 2018 at 10 am at the hall of the Ministry for culture , Maistrova Street 10, Ljubljana.
Pannel discussion lasted till 2,30 pm : there was extensive exchange of views with the state attorney dr. Katarina Bergant who presented her approach of understanding the Action plan of United nations . Afterwards four religious organisations presented their contributions in very short form .
From the minutes of 57th pannel discussion :
Uvodni predstavitvi Akcijskega načrta so sledile predstavitve stališč verskih skupnosti. Svoja stališča so predstavili: Marko Kerševan (Slovenska starokatoliška cerkev), Alenka Bone’- Lama Tara Tulku Drimed Drolkhar Rinpoče (Buddha Dharma – Zveza budistov v Republiki Sloveniji), Igor Kernel (UPASANA – SANJAVA prostosti duha, svetovno-nazorska kozmološka skupnost), Aleksandra Zibelnik Badii (Skupnost Baha’i Slovenije), Andrej Pajnič (Verska skupnost enakih možnosti – VSEM), Tomislav Brumec (Duhovna skupnost Omo Ela Iwori) in Peter Zupan (Svobodna cerkev v Republiki Sloveniji).
I prepared power point presentation which lasted ca 7 minutes . My power point presentation was copied for the archive of the Ofice for religious communities .

Preprečevanje genocida in odgovornost zaščite
1.Urad za verske skupnosti je pred leti na našo pobudo že organiziral posvet o preprečevanju sovražnega govora in družbena odgovornost nas vseh . Tudi takratni Varuh človekovih pravic je objavil obširen bilten o tem .
Office for religious communities at the Ministry for culture Government of Slovenia European Union already organised pannel discussion about prevention of hate speech and social responsibility of everyone . Buddha Dharma initiated this pannel discussion . Ombudsman for human rights also issued extensive publiscation about prevention of hate speech .
Dokument, ki ga obravnavamo na 57. posvetu za predstavnike skupnosti, je organizacija Združenih narodov objavila julija 2017 . Veseli me, da je Vlada RS že nekaj mesecev za tem objavila slovenski prevod tega dokumenta, ki obsega 37 strani . Naslov izvirnika je :
»Plan of action to prevent incitement to violence that could lead to atrocity crimes«.
Document which we are discussing at 57th conference fro the representatives of religious communities was published by the United nations in July 2017 . I am happy that the Government of Republic Slovenia published Slovene translation of this document which is 37 pages long . Title of original document is : “Plan for action to prevent incitement to violence that could lead to atrocity crimes .”
- V predgovoru je generalni sekretar OZN Antonio Guterres povedal , da »vero nekateri žal cinično izkrivljajo za opravičevanje spodbujanja k nasilju in diskriminaciji , zato je bistvenega pomena , da verski voditelji vseh veroizpovedi prevzamejo vodilno vlogo .
General secretary of United nations Antonio Guterres said in the Foreword : “ Religion is sometimes cynically diverted to support incitement of violence and discrimination ; therefore its essential that religious leaders of all faiths resume leading role to prevent violence” .
- V preteklih dveh letih sem aktivno sodelovala na enajstih mednarodnih konferencah, ki jih organizira Južno korejska nevladna organizacija HWPL s sedežem v Seoulu . Imajo tudi aktivne skupine v večini držav sveta , ki se online ali offline sestajajo enkrat mesečno . Naziv tega mednarodnega projekta je »Dialogue of scriptures« . Na rednih mesečnih srečanjih sodelujejo organizatorji iz Seoula , študentje ter verski predstavniki . Sodelovala sem v delovni skupini skupaj z evalgeličanskim pastorjem iz Nove zelandije ter predstavnikom društva Ahmadija iz Slovenije .
In past months I actively collaborated on eleven international conferences which are organised by the South Korean non-government organisation HWPL with head quarter in Seoul . They also have active groups in majority of countries , mettings take place offline and online once monthly . Title of this international project is : “Dialogues of scriptures.” Present on regular monthly meetins are organisers from Seoul , students and representatives of different religions . I collaborated in the working group with evangelical pastor from New Zealand and representative of Ahmadia society in Slovenia .
Razpravljali smo o veliko zanimivih temah, tudi o tem , ali je mogoče v svetih spisih verstev najti elemente nasilja in spodbujanja k nasilju . Kot aktivistka za zaščito pravic živali se zavzemam za prepoved žrtvovanja živali v verskih obredih . Šele, ko bodo verstva , ki prakticirajo obredno žrtvovanje živali, opustila takšno grozljivo pobijanje živali, bodo lahko res prispevala k miru na svetu . Mir na tem planetu mora biti za vsa čuteča bitja, tudi za živali !.
We discussed many interesting questions , also about the fact that there are elements of violence in some religious scriptures and incitenment to violence . As activist for the rights of animals I actively support legislation against animal sacrifice in religious rites . Only when religions -which practice animal sacrifice- will avoid such terrible killing of animals – will the y contribute to world peace . Peace on this planet must be for all sentient beings , also for animals !

- V Buddha Dharmi smo avgusta 2010 pričeli mednarodno kampanjo z naslovom : Buddhist awareness campaign against cyber bullying / Budistična kampanja ozaveščanja proti internetnemu ustrahovanju : universal education , negative karma of cyber bullying and social responsibility and prevention .
On August 2010 Buddha Dharma began international campaign with the title : Buddhist awareness campign against cyber bullying : Universal education , negative karma of cyber bullying , social responsibility and prevention .
- V Buddha Dharmi si odločno in vztrajno prizadevamo za enakopravnost žensk . saj tudi sedanji dokument Združenih narodov govori o preprečevanju spodbujanja nasilja zaradi spola . Ženske so v večini verstev sveta diskriminirane in diskriminacija je oblika nasilja ! V budizmu smo glede enakopravnosti žensk v zadnjem desetletju napravili kar velik napredek , saj enakopravnost žensk v budizmu podpira tudi N.S. 14 Dalai Lama . K večji enakopravnosti žensk v budizmu je pripomoglo predvsem izobraževanje žensk o naših pravicah , prepoved diskriminacije , preprečevanje vseh oblik nasilja nad ženskami itd . Za izobraževanje učinkovito uporabljamo nove medije , socialna omrežja z mnogimi skupinami (npr. Noble Arya Tara sangha) ter video konference in posvete .
At Buddha Dharma we firmly and diligently promote equality of women : the present document of United nations speaks about the prevention of violence because of gender . In majority religions women are discriminated – and discrimination is form of violence ! In Buddhism we made significant progress in last decades : equality of women in Buddhism is also supported by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama . Education of women regarding their rights , prohibition of discrimination , preprevention of all forms of violence toward women significantly contributed toward greater equliaty of women in Buddhism . For education we effectively use new media , social networks with many groups (fro example : Noble Arya Tara sangha) , video conferences and pannel discussions .
- Dalai Lama je ob začetku novega tisočletja zapisal to poslanico : »We are all responsible fort he future of humanity. Let us contribute as much as we can ». Mi vsi smo odgovorni za prihodnost človeštva . Pripomorimo torej največ, kar zmoremo ….
