Enlightened Journey : Tribute to Mangala Konchok Norbu
Mangala received Buddhist name at Refuge ceremony conducted by Dzongsar Jamyang Rinpoche in Ankaran , Adriatic sea site , when Rinpoche taught seminar Art of enlightened warriorship (March 1994) .Rinpoche gave our Vajra brother the name Mangala – which means Auspicious One . It was Mangala who was driving Rinpoche throughtout Slovenia . Mangala later received second Buddhist name : Konchok Norbu from Drikung Ontul Rinpoche during Buddha Vajrasattva Longchen Nyingthig initiation at Trenta valley in Alps (1995) . And it was again our Mangala who was driving Ontul Rinpoche and his wife Dolma la from Alps to Ljubljana and to Postojna cave. Indeed , he was indispensable help, great organiser of Buddhist events and promoter of Buddhist publications . Mangala Konchok Norbu had extremely vivid visualisation which is expressed in his unique Visual Dharma Art . His sublime connection with Buddha Manjushri is described in our previous A-live Dharma teachings . Therefore his nick name was often DhiDhi = seed syllable of Manjushri . Mangala Konchok Norbu was sublime meditator in Ati Yoga Dzogchen : during our yearly retreat at Merigar Dzogchen community in Italy he often meet Chogyal Namkhai Norbu in the early mornings outside Merigar temple .
Mangala Konchok Norbu = Ausicious Double Jewel made extensive pilgrimage in Nepal , visited many holy places in Nepal : Lumbini zone where he wrote this beautiful Buddha Amitabha Prayer in January 2011 . He made pilgrimage to Swayambu stupa, Bodhnath stupa , Parphing asura cave where he placed his hand on the handprint of Padmasambhava rock imprint … He vividly described his experineces during pilgrimages : they can be studied at previous A-live Dharma teachings at the Heritage of mankind .
Buddhist names : Mangala Konchok Norbu and Holly Shaohong Zhang were chanted by ven. Ayang Rinpoche during yearly Phowa ceremony at Bodhgaya holy place .
I am sure Mangala Konchok Norbu realised His wish to be reborn at Sukhavati pure land of Amitabha Buddha and is right now residing on open lotus , praying for all of us . His Heart was so pure like true Norbu Shining Jewel . All who know Mangala Konchok Norbu are truly blessed with his Shining Visual Dharma Art which is enlightening the world .
